Our Partnership with the Suncor Energy Foundation

Actua is proud to partner with the Suncor Energy Foundation.

The Suncor Energy Foundation (SEF) is one of Actua’s longest-standing partners and has been at the heart of InSTEM – Actua’s National Indigenous Youth in STEM program. For over 15 years, SEF has helped Actua improve high school graduation rates among Indigenous students and create opportunities for Indigenous youth in the future workforce. With SEF’s support, we’ve reached over 450,000 Indigenous youth in 600 communities nationwide.

We are incredibly fortunate to benefit from the Suncor Energy Foundation’s commitment to Indigenous education. Together, we are playing a key role in improving high school graduation rates among Indigenous students and breaking down barriers to Indigenous engagement in a future workforce.

SEF has been a long-term funder for many reasons, including Actua’s commitment to advancing a model of excellence in STEM education programming, learning experiences and engaging Indigenous youth. We know the importance of this type of programming for Indigenous communities and youth and for the education system, as we collectively work to advance.
